On day seven, God rested.  After He made the whole world and everything in it, God rested.  Rest allows us time to enjoy what we have done.  Rest provides time for us to recuperate and refresh ourselves. With rest, we can be better able to go to the next day or the next task. With resting, we reflect as well. Reflection gives us a chance to consider what we have done and what we will do next. It also allows us an opportunity to take a step back and behold all the beauty that is before us. The things we may miss with the busyness of life.

To practice some elements of rest, let’s play I spy today.  We will point out all the things God created and thank God for the blessing it provides us. For example, I spy something yellow could be the sun which gives us warmth, daylight and helps the flowers grow.

In this time, we will meet God in praise and rest in His presence.
