God loves you
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave His only son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
God’s love is exhibited by a gift of eternal life with Him. He loves us so that he has given us an opportunity to be saved from the final consequences of our sins. His plan to send a savior for the lost was set in place before the Genesis story began and the offer still stands today because He loves us. To receive the eternal life He gifted out of love, He does not need us to be perfect moms. He only requires us to be moms given over to Him.
Rom 5:8 “God shows His love for us that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
His gift of life does not come with stipulations that require us to do anything more than to believe in Him. We do not have to be all pulled together to receive this gift of love from Him. Even in our sin, God loves. We can appreciate this to some degree as we continue to love our children even in their less than lovable moments. Even as they throw food on the floor, have their tenth temper tantrum of the day or exhibit defiance we continue to love them. When we are lost and have veered off His desire path, God still loves us. When we turn back to Him with the bumps and bruises as consequences of our actions or inactions, He continues to love us. His love is not conditioned on our condition!
Rom 8:38-39 “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, not height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
His love is irrevocable! His love is timeless knowing not even the bounds of death stretching from the past into the future. We know this to be true because our love for children does not begin at birth. It also doesn’t begin at the first sign of pregnancy. Our love for our children is present in the longing we had waiting for God to bless us with them.
Is 54:10 “For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.”
Despite what the enemy may say about your past or the fears satan tries to conjour up about your future or the future of our children, God loves us. The pain we have seen and will see does not stand a chance against God’s unfailing love. In His love, we find peace.
Sow the seed: Rom 5:8 “God shows His love for us that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Nurture the seed: God's love is unconditional, irrevocable, timeless and boundless.
Until next time,
Happy sowing!
